State Bar of Texas Honors Michael J. Guarino as Bar Board Meets in Galveston

GALVESTON, TEXAS – Local attorney Michael J. Guarino was presented with a resolution honoring his commitment to public service by State Bar of Texas President Buck Files on January 25 in conjunction with a State Bar Board of Directors meeting in Galveston.

Guarino was honored for his devoted leadership and dedication to helping others, primarily through his volunteer efforts at Veterans Legal Clinics sponsored by the Galveston County Bar Association, where he provides free legal services to veterans.

Guarino served as the Criminal District Attorney of Galveston County from 1983 to 2003, and is active in civic and community organizations, including the Gulf Coast Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Way of Galveston, and Rotary Club of Galveston.

The State Bar of Texas is an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Texas that provides educational programs for the legal profession and the public, administers the minimum continuing legal education program for attorneys, and manages the attorney discipline system.
