Texas Young Lawyers Association to Present on Consumer Fraud Issues to Spanish-speaking Community

(McAllen) – The Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) will present the Dallas Association of Young Lawyer’s public service project, “¡Protejase! Luche Contra el Fraude,” in furtherance of its commitment to educate the public on legal issues:

  • Sept. 7, 6:30 p.m., United Farm Workers Hall, 1601 Business Hwy. 83, San Juan, TX 78579.

The project is designed to educate Texas’ Spanish-speaking community about various consumer fraud issues, including debt and credit repair scams and notario fraud among others.

All licensed Texas lawyers who are 36 years old or younger or who are in their first five years of licensure, regardless of age, are automatically members of TYLA. Commonly referred to as the "public service arm" of the State Bar of Texas, TYLA's main purposes are to facilitate the administration of justice, foster respect for the law, and advance the role of the legal profession in serving the public.
