The 2012 Capitol Ornament, the 17th in the series, showcases the fence finial that surrounds the 22-acres of the Capitol grounds. The ornament features Texas' Lone Star motif, depicted in the finials, which feature a gold star atop black leaves. Proceeds from ornament sales support Capitol preservation and education projects.
