This Division of the State Bar provides critical support, assistance, and materials to both legal services programs and attorney volunteers. It is the only organization in the state providing legal training to those groups who advocate on behalf of low-income Texans.

Pro Bono Mentor Program
The State Bar Pro Bono Mentor Program provides up to five hours of MCLE credit (including one hour of ethics) to attorneys participating as either a “mentor” or “mentee” when handling a pro bono case for an approved legal aid or pro bono service program.
Emeritus Attorney Program
This program allows retired, inactive, or out-of-state-licensed attorneys to provide pro bono help in Texas.
Legal Assistance for Military Personnel (LAMP)
This program helps meet the legal needs military personnel and their families.
